As a Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awardee, Luisa Marshall continues to utilize her talent to give back to her adopted country. During her 2014 BC Spring Tour, she will be donating a dollar from every ticket purchased on her performance dates in the Legion branches of Squamish, Esquimalt and Langford to the Legion PTSD Service Dogs for Veterans in BC/Yukon.

“Being Canadian is a privilege and an honour to me. I’d like to take this opportunity to give back to my adopted country by recognizing the sacrifices that Veterans and their families made in the past and present which helped make Canada what it is today. SQUAMISH – March 14th, Friday
Luisa Marshall’s Simply the Best BC Spring Tour 2014 kicked off with a big bang to a SOLD OUT show in Squamish! We are completely overwhelmed and very grateful for all the love and support the people of Squamish gave us.
During the biggest hit of the night, Private Dancer, Squamish proudly introduced some of the city’s sexiest men: Louie Acorn, Bruce Busby, Dan Arnold, and Mike Sutter. The whole evening was fun and exciting with a lot of ladies rockin’ with Luisa!

“The best time in my career as a tribute artist is when I see people enjoying, looking happy and having fun even for a brief moment. We all face so many challenges in our daily lives and livin’ life for the moment is good for the soul!” – Luisa Marshall
PEMBERTON – March 15th, Saturday
We had another Simply the Best night in Pemberton when fans from 13 years ago showed up. It was memorable for all the loyal fans who have been following Luisa’s Tina Turner Tribute for many years. The SRO show reverberated throughout the town as avid Tina Fans got their tickets early, showed up at 7:30PM to get good seats for the 9 o’clock show and never stopped smilin’ and laughin’ while they sang and danced with Luisa.
Everybody was just so happy and having a great time! Especially during Private Dancer with the unexpected sexy trio Dario, Darin and Tim. It was such a blast!
SHOUT OUT: to Jaime Sager! She watched Luisa way back in 2001 for the first time at the Pemberton Hotel. She came again at the Pemberton Legion Saturday night and brought her old photo of Luisa and herself together from 13 years ago.
SUPER THANKS TO: Brenda and Heri Anchofer, Country Meadows Bed & Breakfast at 1431 Collins Road, Pemberton for their wonderful hospitality.
“It was one of the best accommodations we ever had on the road. The country themed suite was impeccably clean. The breakfast was delicious and the lively chat we had was fun. Most of all, thanks for the trays of super free range eggs you gave us. We would recommend your B&B to our family and friends.” – Luisa Marshall

“In so many years, this is probably one of the most memorable shows I’ve done in my entire tribute career. Performing in front of true avid and loyal TINA fans is so inspiring!” – Luisa Marshall
WILLIAMS LAKE – March 21st, Friday
The second weekend of Luisa’s BC Spring Tour 2014 was yet another huge success with another 2 sold out dinner shows in a row! Luisa’s Tina Turner Tribute show roared in and woke up the town of Williams Lake filling the Chances the Point ballroom over capacity. The crowd was a mixture of equal number of ladies and men from their 20’s to over 70’s… although we must admit that this time the men were a bit wilder than the female fans… haha! The Point ballroom was crammed with tables and chairs, barely leaving a space for Luisa to move around! Definitely a rockin’ night!
One of the hits of the night was during “Private Dancer” as Luisa boldly searched for the Sexiest Man Alive in Williams Lake. Cheers and applause reverberated throughout the ballroom when the very shy Duane Alphonse was forced by his wife Raema to come up and be one of the contenders. It was a night to remember.
Not to be outdone, 3 friends took to a dance showdown during “Nutbush City Limits” with Willie D. really giving it his all. It was a big treat to their friends to have these men dance the TINA shimmies and turns while playing the tambourines.
What another amazing night that will be the talk of the town for a long, long time!
BIG SHOUT OUT: to Ed Gerbracht, a former high school classmate of Luisa’s husband Steve Marshall, for helping out with the PA & Lights.

“LAST NIGHT’S SOLD OUT SHOW in Williams Lake rocked. Thanks to the amazing Tina fans that made the evening Simply The Best. That was awesome. I finally realized now that there’s a reason why I’m doing what I’m doing. Thank you, Williams Lake, for making me feel special!” – Luisa Marshall
PRINCE GEORGE – March 22nd, Saturday
What a fabulous Saturday evening in Prince George with Luisa’s loyal fans and friends making their way to the ballroom for another sold out show! Yes, it was another fun evening with Luisa sharing her story of her coming to Prince George for the very first time way back in 1989. The crowd roared every time she mentioned Burns Lake (the next town over close to Prince George) with a good number of Luisa’s old friends and followers present. Some fans drove 2 to 4 hours away just to see the show! This is definitely a homecoming for Luisa where she humbly started her musical career in Canada flying all the way from Manila, Philippines. The people were clapping and singing to all the songs but most importantly, they had a great time laughing so hard with Luisa’s stories and jokes though out the show.
One of the biggest hits of the night was Luisa’s provincial wide “Girl Power” campaign. The entire ballroom turned upside down when she suddenly brought up a brave little girl on stage to dance to her DIVA Shania Twain’s “Man, I Feel Like A Woman”. Eilish Byrne happily followed all the dance moves of Luisa moving the crowd with delightful joy.
Many thanks to the brave men who came up on stage and did a great job entertaining the Tina fans. “Nutbush City Limits” dance showdown dancers: Tony (from Edmonton), Sean (12 yrs old), Gerry (the security guard). “Private Dancer” Search for the Sexiest Man Alive contenders: Joe (from Lake Babine), Doug (Prince George), Tony (Prince George).
Many wonderful thanks to author Katherine Carlson for providing the books to give away to all these men. “Arrows Across Eons: Becoming Tina Turner is a true story of a 12 year old girl outcast by necessity… a story of coming of age and coming out… the spiritual journey of one of the biggest fans of the legendary Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner. Luisa interviewed Katherine on her tv show where she first did a soft launching at her Tina Live show in White Rock, BC. Thanks to Katherine’s mother, Anne Carlson who came to the show with her sister Kathy and gave the books to Luisa. To get your copy of this book please CLICK HERE.
SHOUT OUT: To all of Luisa’s beautiful friends and fans who came to rock the show!
MANY, MANY THANKS: to the staff & management of Ramada Prince George for the wonderful hospitality. A special shout out to general manager Tracy Peterson for making our relaxing stay in the presidential suite SIMPLY THE BEST.
SUPER THANKS: to the Prince George Citizen newspaper for thinking of our Tina Turner Tribute Show to be their entertainment for spring.
“What happy and fond memories again that I will cherish for the rest of my entertainment career!” – Luisa Marshall

“UNBELIEVABLE! SOLD OUT SHOW TONIGHT IN PRINCE GEORGE! 278 TINA fans lined up to get in the Ramada Ballroom after I finished with my soundcheck while the staff were busy preparing the buffet. In 1989, my former band Hall of Fame flew all the way to Canada from Manila to perform at the Simon Fraser Hotel’s Eterna Club in Prince George. For over 10 years my band was on the road all over BC and returned here many times in popular venues like the New Generator and the Roundhouse. The last time I was here was 2008 with my dancers for the musical stage show of the life of Tina Turner, TINA A ROCK N ROLL JOURNEY. 6 yrs was too long… I guessed the fans missed my TINA. I’m enjoying this moment and feeling grateful. PG really rocked this Saturday night!” – Luisa Marshall
Thanks to Gordon Bill Neilson for this comment he posted on the website.. “My wife and I and two friends had a fantastic time at Luisa’s show here in Prince George, (and no we are not from Burns Lake, LOL) Luisa is a magnificent performer and we will go to see her again. Thank you very much for a great show.”
LAKE COWICHAN – March 28th, Friday
For the second time after several years, Luisa’s Tina Turner Tribute once again roared through the sleepy town of Lake Cowichan – the perfect place to relax and just breathe (which is exactly what Luisa did as soon as she arrived).
In front of another sold out crowd, Luisa strutted to the stage and rocked Lake Cowichan! The crowd was loud, crazy and lively! The ladies had lots of fun, especially when forcing their men to join Luisa’s s search for the Sexiest Man Alive! A few lucky men (forced by their wives) competed for the spot of Lake Cowichan’s Sexiest Man Alive.

“Vancouver Island, you are so beautiful! It was really nice to have an opportunity to do my shows on the island again after a few years and yet still again receive such generous and overwhelming support from you. Thank you!” – Luisa Marshall
PARKSVILLE – March 29th, Saturday
Luisa’s first time performing at the Parksville Legion was beyond the Rock Meter expectation. Although known to be purely a country town, Luisa’s Tina Turner Impersonation surely attracted the best and edgiest fans in Parksville.
The fun loving fans piled into the big hall expecting big time entertainment… and that’s just what they got! Some very sexy men got up to dance during Proud Mary. Luisa sang to birthday boy Wayne and joke about the twins who she lovingly joked and named Double A (as they were wearing the identical jackets with a big letter “A” embroidered on it). The show went great and Luisa gained many new fans!

“I was ecstatic to meet the new fans and also very very grateful to all those who came back the second time. You guys bring joy and inspiration to me!” – Luisa Marshall
CHEMAINUS (Mt. Brenton Golf Course) – March 30th, Sunday
This little town of Chemainus has lots of character. Staying at the Best Western Plus across the golf course was just simply the best. The very intimate dinner show setting was just perfect for owner Michael Morgan, chef of the evening, whose friends, family and associates enjoyed an evening of pure fun beautiful renditions of TINA’s hit songs. Some TINA fans came all the way from Lake Cowichan, Duncan and Parksville to watch her after hearing glowing reviews from those who attended her past shows. Luisa’s first show in Chemainus will be the talk of the town for a long, long time!

“I feel so blessed with all the amazing support from all the beautiful fans. You really rocked the TINA Rock Meter! All 3 shows this weekend rocked like crazy. So much fun!” – Luisa Marshall
ESQUIMALT – April 4th, Friday
After a hectic week of filming and editing her tv show in Vancouver, Luisa was back on Vancouver Island for the 4th week of her Tina Turner Tribute BC Spring Tour 2014. The big Legion Hall in Esquimalt was rockin’! The whole evening was full of excitement as Luisa randomly picked the lucky few who would join her to entertain the big crowd.
One of the hits of the night was yet again Private Dancer’s sexiest men! With green, purple and red boas wrapped around their necks Esquimalt’s sexiest men tried their best moves to look and sound their sexiest. Another big hit of the night was “We Don’t Need Another Hero” in which Luisa dedicated the song to all the Canadian peacekeeping men and women who made a lot of sacrifices overseas not only for Canada but for the world.
SHOUT OUT: To the rockin’ Filipinos who supported Luisa’s Tina Turner Tribute in Esquimalt. Thank you so much! And thanks to one of the beautiful Filipinos who came out that evening with her friends, Pinangat Gie Malinab, who put up an awesome FB post!
Esquimalt Slideshow Photos
“The whole show moved so smoothly that I didn’t even notice the time. I was feeling a little bit tired but it seemed to go away with the wonderful support of the crowd. I don’t know if it was just me but the when I looked at the crowd… men, women, young and old… they all looked very, very happy… and I became so emotional just to see their faces smilin’ and singin’. What a fabulous night!” – Luisa Marshall
LANGFORD – April 5th, Saturday
SOLD OUT show CANCELLED! A very unfortunate turn of events that evening as the exhausted Luisa got sick and lost her voice due to a viral infection. Luisa went to a doctor and tried everything to get well earlier that afternoon. Even an hour before the show Luisa was still trying to regain her voice… but ultimately she had no choice but to cancel the show minutes before showtime. The Langford Legion branch manager Paul Masse bravely announced that the show was cancelled and explained Luisa’s condition. The Legion treasurer announced that the show will be moved to May 23rd, FRIDAY and that they can return their tickets and get their money back that same April 5th evening. The majority of the crowd who got their tickets online and at the Legion branch kept their tickets for the May 23rd show.
To many people’s surprise Luisa took to the stage and courageously faced and stood in front of the packed, agitated crowd to explain her condition and to sincerely apologize for the sudden cancellation. The crowd burst into applause and some even stood up giving her a standing ovation. Then Luisa continued to stay in the hall to meet everyone and gladly stayed and spent her time having pictures with the fans.

“SO SORRY LANGFORD! I’m so sad that my hectic schedule, constant traveling and shows takes its toll on my health. I was scheduled to perform my 9th TINA show, BC Spring Tour 2014, when after fighting a virus this week I suddenly could not perform tonight at all to a SOLD OUT crowd in Langford, Vancouver Island. I’m feeling so sorry to have disappointed you all. Cancelling a show has never happened to me before in my many years of performing no matter how sick I was but this time it was different.
To all the people who came tonight especially those who travelled a distance to see my TINA, I appreciate your kindness and understanding. I will be coming back for sure on May 23rd, FRIDAY to rock y’all. Thanks to all the wonderful people who decided to hold on to their tickets. I am so humbled by this kind gesture and especially to those who can’t come on May 23rd but still keeping their tickets to give to their friends.
It was nice meeting you all tonight. Your smile and understanding touched my heart so much that I will never ever forget tonight. LANGFORD, I WILL BE BACK! May 23rd FRIDAY!
A SIMPLE SHOUT OUT to the GREAT STAFF & MANAGEMENT of the Langford Legion! You guys are simply the best!” – Luisa Marshall
White Rock – April 19th, Saturday
Another Rocking night on the BC Spring Tour 2014. White Rock was absolutely fun! Luisa is still recovering from the illness that caused her to lose her voice and cancel her sold out show in Langford. Despite not being 100% she was still able to Rock White Rock! The hit of the night was yet again PRIVATE DANCER, the Search for the Sexiest Men Alive! A big fun moment was Luisa finding her new NUTBUSH DANCERS for her next tour.
A gentleman named Bruce brought pictures of the last time I was at the White Rock Legion. I was amazed to see those pics taken 9 years ago with Bruce on stage with me during the Nutbush dance participation. So surreal that after 9 years he was back on stage again dancing with me. Then I met a young lady and her husband from Amsterdam who had a great time with their friends.

“ROCK METER RESURRECTED IN WHITE ROCK!!! Tonight’s TINA fans were awesome! So humbled and happy to just be able to continue my BC Tina Spring Tour 2014 to a super huge crowd tonight without any drama of losing my voice. I must admit that I was so worried about straining my voice and I was a bit on the edge but my TINA ruled tonight. I met a lot of new fans! Thank you, White Rock for FANTASTIC evening!” – Luisa Marshall

LANGFORD – May 23rd, Friday
Langford Rocks! Luisa Marshall was back in Langford after she had to postpone her first show in Langford due to her getting sick and losing her voice (which was the first time in her entire career). The people came out again for another SOLD OUT show in Langford. Luisa would like to thank everyone who came out again for her to see the show.
The hit of the night was We Don’t Need Another Hero and of course Luisa’s dancers who strutted their stuff for Private Dancer and Nutbush City Limits!

DUNCAN – May 24th, Saturday
The last stop on Luisa Marshall’s 2014 BC Spring Tour… and it’s SOLD OUT! The dinner show at the Travelodge Silver Bridge Inn’s Ballroom was packed with some loyal fans who have supported Luisa through many years. For some, this was their 4th time watching Luisa. People came early to secure their tables and roared with Luisa’s first Tina song of the night “I Wanna Take You Higher”. Everyone joined in to sing and had their arms in their copying Luisa’s dance moves. Luisa even took to surprising the Duncan fans by singing Etta James’ “At Last”.
Hits of the night were Proud Mary and Shania Twain’s Man! I Feel Like a Woman.
Heartwarming Moment: A little 6 year old girl named Nicole came with her dad Norm Waddell to watch Luisa for the second time during this 2014 BC Spring Tour. The whole family went to her show at Mt. Brenton Golf Club in Chemainus earlier this tour. Nicole made Luisa a personalized card and a necklace she made from scratch. That was so touching!
