Day 1 in Bermuda

This is the whole Tina crew’s first time in Bermuda! Gorgeous Bermuda! We are in awe! Supah! TINA crew will be catching up on sleep tonight. More blue crystal water and pink sand will be awaiting us.

Day 2: Shopping Downtown/Festival/Great Music

Still can’t believe we’re in here in Bermuda. Impeccable weather even if we found out that it’s actually hurricane season.

After a good night’s sleep, we are all in good shape to explore downtown Hamilton, capital of Bermuda. Terrorized downtown, went shopping and just absolutely enjoyed the scenery on the ferry on the way back to the resort. I was almost teary-eyed and emotional appreciating this blessing given to me and extending it to family and crew. Had great meals and drinks courtesy of Fairmont Southampton. Met so many cool people especially a group of dedicated Filipinos living here for over 26 years.They’re so cute and funny! Thanks so much for the palabok, sotanghon and leche flan! Yum!

Day 3: Beach/Jam at Jasmine Lounge

Ohh, 3rd day in beautiful Bermuda. Had to drag myself to the Fitness Room this morning. So glad I did. Felt like a million bucks! Then joined the whole crew at Windows for breakfast buffet. Had a vocal rehearsal with the crew at the ballroom. Best part is spending time at the Fairmont’s private beach. The weather is so gorgeous. Sunny but the sand is but cool. Steve, Jason and Jojo went snorkeling while the girls Zenia, Kimi and Naomi went swimming. Me? I sat down under the shade sipping margaritas the whole afternoon. The best I could do was dip my feet into the water and feel the sand move. And oh! Sunscreen! Lots of it!

It was an awesome sight. Then finally the whole band got together for a wonderful dinner at the Ocean Club at the Beachfront. Beautiful service. Hurried back to the hotel to catch the last set of the trio at the lounge. The best part, my sax player Karen Graves jamming with them. The music was so good the crowd was on their feet dancing, clapping and singing. All TINA crew had a blast! Day 3 ended with a bang! Magical.

Day 4: Soundcheck/Rehearsals/Show

Work day for the Tina Crew. Soundcheck and rehearsal the whole afternoon. Whatta great sound crew! Got ready for the show. Front act is Bones, a local band in Bermuda. They’re awesome! People luv them. We played real late… around 10:30pm. I was so surprised when people screamed when I came out on stage with “Hold On, I’m Coming”. The crowd was so enthusiastic and very, very receptive. The whole ballroom rocked for 90 minutes. The best part was when I called a guy up on stage for Private Dancer. This guy turned out to be Mark Anderson a.k.a. Sybil Barrington, the Queen of Bermuda. The rest is history! He is indeed the sexiest guy in Bermuda. Had a great time on stage with the band and dancers. There were tons of VIPs. It was awesome!

Day 5: Interviews/Show

Interview with Filipino workers at the Fairmont Resort Hotel. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to sit down with George Uy and Jojo, both In Room Dining waiters along with Executive Pastry Chef Allan. Also had a very heartwarming interview with the Queen of Bermuda Sybil Barrington aka Mark Anderson!

And YES, last night in Bermuda! I had Bermuda “Wahoo” fish dinner again… it was so delicious tonight. Had a fantastic second show for the Bermuda Red Cross. It was packed! The dance floor was packed. What a beautiful experience we have here in BERMUDA! Thanks to the sound, lights and stage crew. Very, very professional! They’re all awesome!
