Event Details:
Brighter Futures Youth – Lax Kw’alaams Band – Luisa Marshall as her Divas
Watch Luisa Marshall’s Tina Turner Tribute.
My Special Journey… Experience the Mystical Lax Kw’alaams. For over 10,000 years the spirits of the Tsimshian ancestors have graced the shores of the Skeena River, wandered in the forests, mountains and islands of one of the most pristine and breathtaking areas of the wilderness of the world.
The Brighter Futures Youth coordinator requested Luisa Marshall to discuss the simple facts, prevention and awareness of HIV. On April 13th, 2012, the young children and teens of Lax Kw’alaams enthusiastically participated and discussed the practical facts during her show in between her songs. The children asked Luisa to stay in their village forever. They didn’t want her to leave. A lot of them became her friends and still keep in touch.
