Fashion has always attracted me ever since I was young girl growing up in Manila, Philippines. Looking back, I had to wear the same 3 sets of uniform in high school and college. My classmates and I showed individuality through our hair, personality and talent. I didn’t have a lot of money to buy the nicest clothes but I have Tita’s (aunties) showering me with their “hand-me-down” clothes as gifts from the US which I was grateful for. From these I developed my own style and walked to each party with sheer confidence.

Today, I choose and buy my clothes with delight. I love clothes. Fashion shows, fashion magazines and fashion events are some of my faves.

During the last Vancouver Fashion Week held last month (March 19-24, 2013), I was so happy to meet Gian Carlo! He’s making a big name for himself as a fashion stylist in the Vancouver fashion scene. I’m glad he accepted my invitation to be on the show to talk about his love for fashion. It’s inevitable that we clicked right away. Gian Carlo has opened his heart to the community through the upcoming fashion social fundraising event “Stand for Color” on April 19th, Friday, Aria Club, Port Moody.

Yes, Gian is absolutely stylin’ all the way to the top with his successful participation as fashion stylist for European brands “Goldie” and “Fever” at this year’s Vancouver Fashion Week. His personal touch, fashion expertise and awesome attitude paved the way to his collaboration as an in-house fashion stylist with one of Vancouver’s leading fashion houses, Jacqueline Conoir Studio.

On his success at Vancouver Fashion Week 2013 Gian Carlo says “It was a challenge definitely. I’m very fortunate and lucky and will be grateful for the people that surrounds me actually ‘coz without them I would have never been able to do what I love.”
