Luisa Marshall receives MIDES Award – Balik OLGA 2011

During the 2011 Gracean Worldwide Inc. Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada, Luisa Marshall was presented the first MIDES Award. The MIDES (Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo) Award is reserved for the Gracean and Marian alumni who have shown great community service to serve God and neighbours.

“Following in the spirit of Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo, Luisa was recognized for her tireless dedication, commitment, leadership and exemplary service to benefit the underprivileged. As a tribute artist based in Canada, she has performed and successfully organized fund raising events, raising thousands of dollars for numerous organizations. Through her television show, Simply the Best with Luisa Marshall, she aims to inspire, educate, empower and entertain Filipino and mainstream viewers in a multicultural society. She brings awareness and recognition to men and women in the community, social issues, local politics, artists, and musical talents both local and international.”

A big thank you to the Gracean Worldwide Inc. for the MIDES award (Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo) they have given me last Friday, April 30, 2011, at the Gracean Reunion 2011, Monte Carlo Hotel, Las Vegas, in recognition and appreciation of my dedication, commitment, leadership and exemplary service to benefit the underprivileged and the community following the Ignacian spirit of MIDES.

I share this award with all the beautiful Graceans all over the world who tirelessly make an effort to help the underprivileged regardless of color, background and ethnicity.

Also, my sincere gratitude to the officers and organizers who made this event possible. Graceans rocked Las Vegas!

The beautiful Graceans of all batches sang, danced, and laughed together during the whole event. Not to forget the never ending pictorials and the 38 years of catching up till 3 am.
