“On behalf of my most supportive and wonderful family, my husband Steve, my daughters Kimi and Zenia, I humbly accept this award with honour and dignity. Being recognized for the love of my artistry and contribution to many causes has been quite overwhelming. All the opportunities, love and support are coming from many different directions. And I promise you, my journey is not over yet… there’s so much more to explore and to accomplish. And my wish is for all RBC’s Top 25 Canadian Immigrants winners to continue to give life to the hopeless so they can improve their lives, achieve their dream and be inspirational to others. I share this award with all the Filipino Canadians who dare to live the dream. Thank you, RBC, Chevrolet, CBC, and the Canadian Immigrant Magazine! And most of all, thank you, Canada!” – Luisa Marshall
After accepting her award and delivering her speech, Luisa Marshall rocked the Vancouver Awards Ceremony with a small surprise performance. She got her fellow award recipients up and dancing to Tina Turner’s Simply the Best. Congratulations to all the deserving & inspirational winners!
