ALL NEW Simply The Best Season 12! NEW YEAR’S Life Recipe of Love, Courage and Survival series.
Pinoy Pride… LA based award-winning Hollywood photojournalist Ruben V. Nepales (first Filipino Chairman of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Golden Globe Awards producer) welcomed the new year with the launching of his amazing coffee table book “THROUGH A WRITER’S LENS”.
Ruben’s gift of capturing through his lens the candid emotions of stars he interviewed in almost 2 decades caught the eye of their friend Bessie Badilla (model, actress, singer, producer) since 2016. Bessie suggested to Ruben that she wished to publish a book of all his stunning photos of celebrities.
Despite the pandemic, lockdown and Black Lives Matter protests in California, Ruben decided to pursue his new venture. Together with his wife Janet (Columnist & Hollywood Correspondent of GMA-7) and their friend Bessie, they searched through thousands of pictures and quotes of celebrities and talents he interviewed. After several months of collaboration, “Through a Writer’s Lens” was born.
Get Ready to be inspired!
“Ruben Nepales is smart, has great taste, and observes things that most people overlook. These qualities make him a good photojournalist and they make this book so great.”
