Westside Daze 2014 in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA ROCKS SATURDAY NIGHT! Over 1200 people came to rock with Luisa’s Tina Turner Tribute along with her Luisa Marshall Band cover band in the beautiful natural amphitheatre set-up at West Kelowna’s Westside Daze 2014 on Saturday, June 28th, 2014. Glorious weather! Fabulous crowd! Pizzas and mini doughnuts overflowing! Westside Daze was a lot of fun for Luisa’s crew!

The band was absolutely AWESOME! Luisa’s daughters Kimi (guitar) and Zenia (vocals) performed with her on stage! Not to forget her brother Leandro Mendez (dancer) and her husband Steve Marshall (drums). Luisa’s special guest Henri Brown (bass guitar & vocals) wowed the audience with Hot Hot Hot and his personal twist on their Earth, Wind & Fire Medley. Also hot on stage was Avril Robinson on vocals, dancer Kathryn Schellenberg, Luisa’s long time keyboard player Jojo Palermo and the latest addition to the family show high-flying-stage-jumper Dennis Timoshenko on sax from the Ukraine.

Feeling so happy and blessed! Thanks to WEST KELOWNA residents and friends who came to see us at the the WESTSIDE DAZE 2014 Festival. The band had a big blast! Beautiful set-up and natural grass amphitheatre style. The beautiful weather stayed with us the whole evening. Thanks for the heartwarming hospitality! Thank you to all the volunteers! WEST KELOWNA ROCKED ON SATURDAY NIGHT!

CREW SIDE TRIP

Before and after West Kelowna’s wonderful Westside Daze festival, Luisa’s crew took to some sightseeing, shopping, seadooing and ziplining! While Luisa was having brunch at the Bohemian Cafe and interviewing owner Hans Birker for her TV show Simply the Best – The Luisa Marshall Show, some of Luisa’s adventurous family members took to Wood Lake for seadooing in the rainstorm before tackling the sky at Canada’s highest freestyle zipline (381ft) in Peachland. We just wanted to note that Luisa’s dancer and choreographer Leandro conquered his fear of heights at ZipZone!
